QUALITY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

UAB “Elektronikos Perdirbimas” is a Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycler specializing in the first-hand dismantling of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) since 2014. Understanding the importance of resource conservation and careful management of raw materials for secondary use, we diligently work to ensure that WEEE is transformed into new products. In 2023, UAB “Elektronikos Perdirbimas” flat-panel TV and monitor (FPD) processing activities were certified according to the European standard WEEELABEX.

In order to improve our management system and ensure that our activities are of high quality, meet sustainability and employee safety requirements, we have implemented an integrated management system for quality, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO  14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

In order to achieve these goals, the company’s employees:

  • Ensure that the policy of the integrated management system, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO  14001 and ISO 45001 standards, is understood, implemented, monitored, and suitable for the organization’s defined purpose, strategic direction, and the established objectives of the integrated management system;
  • Commit to ensuring the continuous improvement of the integrated management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO  14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and enhancing its effectiveness;
  • Strive to meet and fulfill commitments, legal obligations, and the requirements of interested parties;
  • Commit to protecting the environment, including pollution prevention, and its resources as much as possible;
  • Aim to ensure that activities are managed based on the established strategic direction and strive to minimize any negative impact on the environment;
  • Commit to ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for employees, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, and reducing safety and health risks for employees;
  • Strive to eliminate hazards in operations to reduce the risks to employee safety and health;
  • Ensure opportunities for employees and their representatives to consult and participate in the company’s activities.

INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT POLICY

UAB “Elektronikos perdirbimas” applies an information security management system in the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment waste.

One of the company’s key objectives is to protect both company and client information. Therefore, employees in their daily work follow the requirements of the ISO 27001:2022 standard, in order to prevent incidents that could harm the organization’s reputation, while committing to:

  • Ensure the protection of the organization’s information and IT systems.
  • Ensure that information security meets operational requirements and complies with applicable laws.
  • Achieve and maintain adequate protection of the organization’s assets.
  • Prevent unauthorized physical and remote access, losses, and disruptions to the organization’s operations and information held in information systems.
  • Ensure that information security incident management is consistent and effective. 
  • Avoid asset loss, damage, theft, defects, or operational disruptions.
  • Ensure the accurate and secure operation of information processing tools.
  • Ensure that security is an integral part of all information systems. 
  • Maintain an information security management system that meets the ISO 27001:2022 standard.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s security policies and standards.
  • Periodically assess risks to determine the need for further action.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in information security management.
