The International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC) is recognised as one of the leading international events for the electronics recycling industry, bringing together recyclers, producers, compliance schemes, policy makers, technology providers, and other key stakeholders from across the global WEEE value chain.

The IERC 2026 programme took place in Valencia, Spain, from 21–22 January 2026, preceded by registration and networking activities on 20 January, and followed by technical visits and workshops on 23 January. The congress offered a strong platform for professional exchange and cooperation through plenary sessions, panel discussions, and networking activities. Key themes included the challenges of global trade for the electronics recycling sector, the development of new regulatory frameworks and regional programmes, and practical solutions to support circular economy objectives. The agenda also addressed the growing importance of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) as part of the circular tech economy, as well as the role of secondary raw materials in connecting supply and demand.
